Holy Spirit we welcome You right here.
Come and take Your place in our hearts, minds, bodies, souls and spirit.
You are the Living God and there is so much that You want to teach us today from this scripture verse.
So please God of Life, take absolute control and make us as You will by Your Word in Jesus Name. Amen.
Reflection
As I ponder these scripture verses, it immediately springs to my mind that the Price of one’s life is Jesus Christ.
We were sinners, un-reconciled to God, and helpless to redeem ourselves.
Revelation 5:2-4 says this so well, that “no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll (from the Hand of God) and look into it.“
At this profound realisation, St John the Beloved who was seeing this vision, “wept much”.
But in Revelation 5:5, we read, “Then one of the elders said to me, ‘Weep not; lo, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that He can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
ALLELUIA!!!
Oh what a wonder! What wonderful news!
Jesus Christ, Who IS the Lion of the tribe of Judah and the Root of David, has conquered!
The price of one’s life, my life, your life, required ONE Who could die for the entire sins that we would ever commit, obey the Father completely, overcome the devil and then rise up from the dead!
Wow! Who else could do this but GOD HIMSELF.
So GOD, the ETERNAL WORD became flesh and dwelt among us in the Person of Jesus Christ.
He became one like us in every way but without sin.
Then HE died, shed all HIS BLOOD AND GAVE HIMSELF AS THE RANSOM FOR MY LIFE, AS THE RANSOM FOR YOUR LIFE, AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD so that death could no longer have any power over us!
Jesus Christ is indeed LORD!
He didn’t just stop there but He has reconciled us back to the Father’s KINGDOM as co-heirs with Him.
Yes, even right now, Jesus Who rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven, has placed His Blood before the altar of GOD in Heaven as the price for our lives!
His Blood continually speaks for us, mercy, healing, forgiveness, deliverance, grace, victory and Eternal Life.
This Blood of Jesus is the Price for one’s life.
It is the Price for myself which is too high!
I cannot take it forgranted.
Prayer
Dear LORD Jesus, You are sooo precious to me.
Your Precious Blood shed for me is the reason why I live.
I unite with all of Heaven and the prayers of the saints to sing the new song,
“Worthy art Thou to take the scroll and to open its seals, for Thou wast slain and by Thy Blood didst ransom men for God from every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
and hast made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on earth.” – Revelation 5:9-10
Thank You GOD! ALLELUIA!!! AMEN!!!
