As you are sons, God has sent into our hearts the Spirit of his Son crying, ‘Abba, Father’;

and so you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir, by God’s own act.

Reflection

As we enter into a New Year, today’s scripture reading reminds us of our inheritance in God through Jesus Christ.

We have been redeemed by His Blood to become adopted children of God, co-heirs with Christ.

His Father is our Father.

His Mother Mary is our Mother.

His family is our family.

We are NO longer slaves or outcast.

Let this renewed vision of our identity in Christ form a deep well of understanding in our hearts which we drink daily from by the Power of God’s Holy Spirit, all the days of our lives.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, I welcome You into this New Year. Like Mother Mary did with her “Fiat”, I abandon myself to Your love ❤️ and all powerful care.

Teach me throughout this year to cry out, “Abba, Father!” And to rest in the Father’s loving embrace, paternity, and protection.

I receive my inheritance in God through the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ.

And with a grateful heart, I say THANK YOU GOD!!! For Your love knows no bounds 🙏

Let this year be the best year of our lives so far together as I and my family grow and increase in a new knowledge of You.

Be with Your Church and this year please show us Your deepest mercy.

Also we ask for healing, peace and deliverance from every evil in our world today and throughout the year.

In Jesus Name.
