What god can compare with you for pardoning guilt and for overlooking crime? He does not harbour anger for ever, since he delights in showing faithful love.
19 Once more have pity on us, tread down our faults; throw all our sins to the bottom of the sea.
Micah 7:18-19
Verse 19 of Micah 7 changed my heart forever when I first encountered those words.
I remember clearly been struck with a full understanding of the depths of God’s love. As I pondered that, “He throws our sins into the depths of the sea and remembers them no more.”
It was a pondering that liberated me from the shackles of guilt and shame.
I finally had confidence that when I confessed my sins and was truly sorry for them and had made a firm resolve to live a life that was pleasing to God, then sins of the past were obliterated forever from God’s mind.
The Spirit of God in that moment of grace, enlightened my understanding to see that God doesn’t hold a record of our transgressions against us.
If He didn’t, then why should I?
In that moment of grace, I was suddenly empowered to let go of the past and start walking freely, joyfully, trustingly, in the Light and Love and Divine Mercy of God, Most High!
Alleluia!
This message of truth is for all of God’s people.
Yes, we have failed Him.
We have fallen short of His glory.
And still yet, His love for us is so great that it compels us to come even more deeper into His mercy!
The greater our sense of sins, the greater we should recourse and fly to His mercy.
He will cleanse and purify and heal all the dirt and filthiness of our souls. Washing us clean in His Divine Blood and revitalising our hearts, minds and bodies with His rivers of Living Water!
O let us today, flee for refuge into this infinite, indescribable fountain of Divine Love and Life and Peace and Mercy!
Prayer
O merciful Saviour, how infite is Your goodness towards us. Surely You are God Who saves again and again and again and delivers us from all our folly.
Today LORD Jesus, I come renouncing my folly and foolishness before You and repenting of hidden sins. Forgive me LORD and set me free!
Wash me in Your mercy and fill my mind with the Light of Your Spirit.
Search me deep within and if there be anything that is not perfectly conformed to YOU – sin in any disguise, guilty pleasures or disoriented affections, guilt or iniquity, fear or failure, lust or evil passions, wickedness or despair, doubt or sloth, denial or rejection, criticism or self-pride, self aggrandisement or selfishness, unholiness in any form – wash me clean!
Wash me clean, LORD Jesus!
Purge me with hyssop that I may be whiter than snow.
I thank You LORD, that as I flee to Your mercy, You do not cast me out but embrace me and submerge me completely in Your love.
Praise You JESUS, my Redeemer, forever!
Amen! Alleluia!!! Amen!!!
Always & Forever,
To the Lamb,
With all my ❤
