Honouring God

My people, what have I done to you, how have I made you tired of me? Answer me!

8 ‘You have already been told what is right and what Yahweh wants of you. Only this, to do what is right, to love loyalty and to walk humbly with your God.’

Micah 6:3, 8

What does it mean to honour You, o God?

The definition of honour means to hold in high esteem.

As Christians, I’m sure lots of us hold You in high esteem, LORD – including me. But does this mean that we honour You?

Teach us LORD, what it truly means to honour You.

Down in my heart, I feel that honouring You means that I simply delight to be in Your Presence, always.

Yes, always, is the key.

Not sometimes but always!

How else can I honour You?

Except by just being in Your Presence, receiving Your love, and loving You in return.

Then from You shall flow all of my ways and they shall be perfectly pleasing in Your sight.

So today LORD, I come before You, to honour You by dwelling and resting and living in Your Presence.

May You Mighty God be pleased with my presence before You my King.

I’m going no where else, because I have no where else to go to – and because I truly desire no where else but Your Presence.

So merciful Saviour look upon me now, here – just as I am before You. You came to me first and draw me nigh to You.

And I say, “Yes and Amen, LORD! Do with me as You will, now and forever. Amen”

Always & Forever,

To the Lamb,

With all my ❤
