The free gift of God

But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.

Romans 5:15

Today’s message from Romans 5:12-18 is packed full of so much hope!

The promise to us from God today, is not to despair because of sin. As now and ultimately Jesus has given us perfect dominion!

As Christians it’s sometimes easier for us to focus on the presence and effects of sin in our lives, the lives of our loved ones, the Church and the world.

However this constant focus can more often than not, lead to frustration and despair.

That’s why today’s message is one of great hope!

God reminds us that as we all bore the consequences of sin through Adam’s trespass, through Jesus’ righteousness we also receive grace for forgiveness and righteous living.

The ultimate end of this free gift of grace, forgiveness and righteousness, is eternal life with God!

Alleluia!

Today, whatever we are faced with that has acted as a burden of sin, or stumbling block, let us decree God’s word against it, saying:

“It shall never stand! Sin shall never stand in our lives and our family! Evil shall never stand in our lives and the lives of our children and in the Church of Christ!”

“Because our Saviour Jesus Christ has redeemed us all, by His Precious Blood!”

Alleluia!

Today, and always, let us focus on the free gift of God in Christ Jesus, our righteousness and give God all the praise!

Prayer

Holy Father, You are most Holy and kind.

Thank You for grace that abounds to us through the free gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ!

Oh, Holy Father, how we praise and worship You.

Thanking Your benevolence and marvellous redemption, without which our wretchedness would have consumed us to despair.

You o LORD Jesus are our living hope!

We love You, extol You and praise YOU today beyond all we could ever express.

Truly Your Word has come into our lives today to heal us and set us free from destruction- and for this we praise you forever.

Amen!

Always & Forever,

To the Lamb,
