“…all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, and that all this assembly may know that the LORD saves not with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’s”
1 Samuel 17:46-47
Reflecting on the battle between David and Goliath in the book of Samuel 17, the boldness of David is astonishing.
This young man was someone who knew his God!
The whole of Israel was alarmed when Goliath came forward to fight them. Even their self appointed king Saul, could not stand up to him.
Instead when David asked to fight Goliath, Saul was initially hesitant- but when David insisted Saul agreed and sent a mere youth to the battle field.
But David was unshaken. He responded back with full confidence to Goliath, prophetically declaring how he was going to win the battle.
David proclaimed that he came against Goliath in the Name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel. And he went on to declare that the battle belongs to the LORD.
Alleluia!!!
Whatever battles we are faced with now, let us rise up boldly with the same confidence David had and prophetically declare in the Name of Jesus Christ that God Almighty has won the victory!
For the battle is the LORD’s!
Prayer
Almighty and Eternal Father in the Name of Your Son Jesus Christ I praise and thank You for Your awesomeness!
You alone are God Most High!
There is no other god beside You – holy God living and true – that is able to save us from the assailants of our souls.
And so most Holy Father in the Name of Jesus Christ our victorious LORD we prophetically decree and declare that every battle that has been raised against us and our loved ones and YOUR CHURCH is defeated now and conquered forever by the Blood of Jesus Christ! In the Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!
For they have come against us with schemes, devices, plots, plans, lies, deception, iniquity, malice and conceit and all manner of evil.
But we come against them with the Name that is above every other name – the Name of Jesus Christ which alone has power of save.
And so we destroy all their evil imaginations and devices and plots and schemes and terror against us and plant in their places the plans, the purpose, the perfect will and love of God concerning us in Jesus Name!
Let the Word of God cause every good gift to flourish in our lives, in the lives of our loved ones and in YOUR CHURCH.
We pray Holy Father in Jesus Name. Amen.
Establish us according to Your benevolent love towards us. Amen!
Thank You Father for hearing us in Jesus Name!
