Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his great mercy has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
and into a heritage that can never be spoilt or soiled and never fade away. It is reserved in heaven for you
who are being kept safe by God’s power through faith until the salvation which has been prepared is revealed at the final point of time.
1 Peter 1:3-5
The most beautiful news about Jesus’ Resurrection is that He has shared His Divine life with us, and opened up the gates of Heaven to us.
By ascending into Heaven, He has assumed His place of glory at the Father’s right hand, and fulfilled His promise of sending us His Spirit.
This is the good news that St Peter conveys to us today in the Church’s reading.
Jesus has reserved an inheritance for us in Heaven, which shall never be spoilt or soiled.
He has done this through His great mercy and unfailing love.
On our part, as we persevere in faith, our salvation will be revealed.
What really impresses my heart is that our journey of faith is made possible by God’s power.
So God in His mercy delivers us, in His Fatherly care provides for us a Heavenly inheritance and in His power keeps us safe to receive our salvation in the fullness of time.
How great is our God!
He does everything for us.
We simply have to say “yes” to everything that He has store for us.
Today, as the first Sunday after Easter, is Divine Mercy Sunday.
In the early 1930’s Jesus appeared to a Polish nun, St Faustina and through the messages He revealed to her, He established the Divine Mercy devotion.
Today, Jesus particularly asks for all people to return to His mercy as the floodgates of Heaven are opened to bless the world.
Let us tap into this incredible abyss of God’s mercy and say “yes!”
Prayer
My sweet, merciful Jesus, I love You with all my heart.
Today, I praise You for all Your unimaginable love towards us and all mankind.
I come before Your most Holy Majesty this moment to say that I honour and adore You.
Your heart overflowing with love and mercy towards us always carries a burning flame of love for us.
Today, we bury ourselves in the currents of Your heart.
Let the currents of graces flowing forth from Your pierced side overwhelm us and absorb us completely into You.
Thank You for Your mercy and unfailing love.
Heal us, fill us and take absolute control of our lives now and forever.
I give You all LORD Jesus. Amen.
Jesus, I trust in You!
Always & Forever,
To the Lamb,
With all my ❤
