Love the LORD Your God

If you obey the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I am laying down for you today, if you love Yahweh your God and follow his ways, if you keep his commandments, his laws and his customs, you will live and grow numerous, and Yahweh your God will bless you in the country which you are about to enter and make your own.

Deuteronomy 30:16

“If you love Yahweh, your God, and follow His ways,” these words are the core of our calling to be Christians (Christ like or “as Christ”).

The LORD Jesus summed up the commandments in two:

Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength;

Love your neighbour as yourself.

Thinking deeply about God’s love and allowing ourselves to be consumed in His love, will transform us to become like Him.

And when we gradually become like Him, we begin to think, speak and act like Him. There is realised in us a metamorphosis, a renewal, a transformation that allows us to see others and treat others just like He does.

Of course our flesh will put up a fight, the enemy of our souls will try to fight, but we are firmly in the palm of God’s Hands. And His unfailing promise to us is that “no one can snatch us out of His Hands!”

So as we glide along this season of rest, let us ask the LORD Jesus to make it a time of real renewal, healing and refreshing for us, for His Church and for the whole world.

That we may truly be renewed in His love and walk in His ways.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the unfailing gift of Your love. I want to become as You are, becoming like Christ Jesus Your Son in all things.

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I SURRENDER my life to You completely.

Thank You for holding me in the palm of Your Hands. Please do with me as You will. Amen.

Always & Forever,

To The Lamb,

With all my ❤
