I will make your name blessed

I will make your name endure from generation to generation, so nations will sing your praise for ever and ever.

Psalm 45:17

This psalm was a prophecy of the role that Mother Mary would play in the lives of God’s people.

By obeying God, submitting herself to His will, God promised to honour her before His presence and royal courts.

Her honour would stem not just from her ancestral heritage but from her descendants.

Verse 16 states: Instead of your ancestors you will have sons; you will make them rulers over the whole world.

This eventually leads to today’s verse of meditation where God promises that He will make her name endure from generations to generations, and people will sing her praise.

These words and promise can immediately be compared to the dialogue between Mary and Elizabeth. The song of praise called the Magnificat that Mary broke into.

Where she confirmed this prophecy by singing, “henceforth, all generations will call me blessed.” – Luke 1:48

Today, let us acknowledge God’s Wisdom in working marvelously in the lives of His children.

As we surrender our lives to HIM, let us be confident that he is faithful to reward us beyond all that we could ever ask or imagine.

Amen.

Prayer

LORD God Almighty, I thank You for Your faithfulness to us Your children.

We are mere creatures and yet You made us in Your image and likeness and breathed Your Spirit into us.

And now o God, we are alive in You.

You redeemed us from our sin and wretchedness the Precious Blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Father, we are grateful for everything that You have done for us and surrender ourselves totally into Your Hands.

May Your Holy Spirit anoint us and fill us and transform us.

Have Your way in our lives and deliver us from every form of evil.

Let Your love rest upon us o LORD, as we place all our hope in You.

Amen.

Always & Forever,

To the Lamb,

With all my ❤
