I say to you, arise

Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Tal’itha cu’mi”; which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” And immediately the girl got up and walked (she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement.

Mark 5:41-42

Today we witness by faith, to the miracle of Jesus as He healed a little girl.

In fact, Jesus did more than heal, He brought the girl back to life from the dead.

This miracle of Jesus, He accomplished by encouraging the father of the child to have faith. Then, He took only three of His disciples with Him and the parents of the child into the room.

In this selective circumstance, Jesus performed His miracle.

What does this mean?

Why did Jesus ringfence who should be with Him as He performed this great miracle?

Come Holy Ghost, and speak to me.

Help me to understand.

Lead me in the way of perfect truth.

It seems like Jesus wanted to charge the room with an atmosphere of faith (the girl’s parents desired to see her alive), and complete trust in Him (His closest disciples relied completely on Him).

What strikes me most about this miracle, is Jesus’ command to the girl, that brings her to life.

He doesn’t start by rebuking the spirit of evil and death, He completely ignores that and focuses on the life of God, and says to the girl, “arise”.

Jesus simply speaks His Word of Truth into her life as He confessed it to her father and to the mourners when He said, “the girl is not dead but asleep”.

Today, Jesus is calling us to arise from our deadness and slumber.

Sin, unfruitfulness, faithlessness, sadness, sorrow, depression, oppression, suppression, anger, remorse, jealousy, contempt, hatred, unforgiveness, spite, malice, anxiety, worry, fearfulness, doutbfulness, confusion, hurt, neglect, abandonment, terror, persecution, strife, self-righteousness…

Today, the LORD says to us who experience any of these to “arise!”

He is speaking His Word of Truth into our lives today, calling forth

Holiness, faith, righteousness, Godliness, compassion, meekness, humility, trust, confidence, faithfulness, kindness, gentleness, healing and Divine health, prosperity, self-control, fruitfulness, love, joy, patience, rest, stillness, peace…and every good and perfect gift.

Yes, let us arise at the command of JESUS’ voice and spring to our feet and walk!

And soar high…by the Power of His Holy Spirit.

Prayer

Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us.

Melt us, mold us, fill us, use us.

Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us.

Come Holy Ghost, Spirit of the Most HIGH.

Come with Your Holy Fire and set us ablaze.

We need You Holy Spirit of GOD.

We need Your Power, we need Your grace.

We need Your Presence, we need Your Holiness.

We need Your anointing.

So fall upon us today we pray, and cause us to arise and walk and soar because our Saviour commands it.

And we obey Him with all!

All our heart, all our soul, all our mind, all our strength.

In Jesus Name.

Amen!

Always & Forever,

To The Lamb,

With all my ❤
