God gave His Son

For this is how God loved the world: he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.

For God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but so that through him the world might be saved.

No one who believes in him will be judged; but whoever does not believe is judged already, because that person does not believe in the Name of God’s only Son.

John 3:16-18

I really love these scripture verses.

Jesus promises in His conversation with Nicodemus are so full of love.

First, He explains that the single reason why God sent His Son into our world is because of His love for us!

God did not do it for any self-interested motives.

He simply wanted to save us.

Wow!

Next, Jesus says that He didn’t come to condemn (or judge) the world but to save it.

Finally, He tells us the one way to escape condemnation or judgement is to believe in Him.

We simply have to believe – nothing else!

The grace of God is truly amazing.

We don’t have to climb any mountains or do any marvellous works to receive salvation, we simply have to say, “Yes, I believe!”

“I believe, all Your wondrous promises to me LORD!”

Wow! If it is so amazing the simplicity of His call and the abundance of the graces He bestows upon us, why do we resist?

Where else can we find rest?

What else can compare to His loving kindness?

Today, let us search our hearts and accept the love of God that is freely given to us, but which cost God everything – the life of His only Begotten Son.

Prayer

Loving Father, today I accept Your free gift of salvation to me.

I humbly acknowledge that though it costs me nothing to receive this gift and the immensity of its treasures, it cost You everything to give this gift to me.

And yet Holy Father, freely and unconditionally You gave to me.

Thank You for Your salvation and redemption.

Thank You that we have full forgiveness of our sins and reconciliation with You through Jesus Your Son.

Father today, I confess my faith in You and Your Son, by saying,

“I believe in God the Father Almighty. I believe in Jesus Christ His ONLY Son our LORD. I believe in the Holy Spirit”.

Thank You God for saving me and accepting me into Your Kingdom, that I may not perish but have everlasting life.

Amen.

Always & Forever,

To the Lamb,

With all my ❤
