So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect. – Matt 5: 48

There are few times when I read this instruction of yours Lord, or it comes to my mind, and I feel so far removed from being perfect.

Today feels like one of those days Lord, when my soul is weighed down by my body and finds it hard to soar to You.

But surely Lord, You know that I love You and that I need You, and that I desire You with all my heart.

So do not abandon, this ‘earth’s poor exile’ here before You now.

As I wait before You, You alone know what I need to receive from Your Throne of Grace to be diligent before You and be perfect as my heavenly Father is perfect.

So dear Lord, send me Your Help from Heaven, even Your Holy Spirit to bless and guide me this day and renew my love for You and the Father in a most special way. Amen.

Thank You Lord for answering my prayer and my heart’s call unto You.

Amen.
