Treasure in earthen vessels

But we hold this treasure in pots of earthenware, so that the immensity of the power is God’s and not our own.

2 Corinthians 4:7

Praise God for today’s scripture reflection that encourages us in the LORD.

For me, it is a timely reminder of God’s greatness and power which He has been pleased to share with me.

Just before reading this, I was meditating in prayer and speaking to the LORD about how now more recently and often than before, I’ve been struggling with self-doubt.

I’ve asked God clearly, many times, to show me His will for my life and He has always been faithful to answer me.

Yet, I’ve been slow to take on, head on, boldy, many of what God has assigned to me – because of self-doubt.

And so the LORD opened my eyes to see that self-doubt is a sin, because it means that I am trusting in my own power to accomplish rather than the unlimitless power and grace of God working in me.

And this is exactly what the verse that we ponder on today addresses.

So, let us rejoice in God’s unfailing power to work in us! For He does all this for His unfailing glory.

The important thing from this verse is that it’s a complete acknowledgement of our weakness and fragility and God’s immense and indescribable power.

How beautiful! How incredibly awesome is our God!

Prayer

Thank You Jesus for Your Word that has come today to set my heart free in Your truth!

Yes, I acknowledge my fragility and smallness and surrender them even more so to You to transform them in Your power and greatness.

Use me LORD to accomplish Your will.

Let the amazing treasure of Your Holy Spirit not be caged or locked in within me; but release Your Spirit within me to do as He wills.

He is God! So let Him reign in me as He wills.

Oh thank You Redeemer, You who are the Lion of Judah, and the Lamb of God!

YOU are AWESOME!!! And I love You!

Always & Forever,

To the Lamb,

With all my ❤
