He said, ‘This water flows east down to the Arabah and to the sea; and flowing into the sea it makes its waters wholesome. Wherever the river flows, all living creatures teeming in it will live. Fish will be very plentiful, for wherever the water goes it brings health, and life teems wherever the river flows. Along the river, on either bank, will grow every kind of fruit tree with leaves that never wither and fruit that never fails; they will bear new fruit every month, because this water comes from the sanctuary. And their fruit will be good to eat and the leaves medicinal.’

This is one of my favourite scripture readings.
I love the visions of The River as revealed by God to Ezekiel, to David (Psalm 1) and to St John the Beloved (Revelation 22).
The River revealed in all these three scripture passages is the same river: The River of the water of life!
The promise of God concerning this River is so profound. God says that wherever this river flows, all living creatures teeming in it will live.
Surely, this is also the Living Water that Jesus said that He would give those who ask Him or come to drink from Him (John 4:10, John 7:37-38).
What is so beautiful about this is that St John goes on to reveal that this Living Water is the Spirit of God. Yes, the Holy Spirit is the Living Water. The Holy Spirit is the River of the Water of Life.
And the blessed, true promise of God to us is that as we ask Jesus, He will answer us and cause the River of Life to flow into us, and well up within us.
This is a profound reality of our existence, that as children of God, we have the Life of God within us!
We are nourished as the trees planted by the River. We bear our fruit in abundance, each season; and our leaves never wither, and they are for the healing of the nations!

Alleluia!!! PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS!!!
What a glorious inheritance is ours.
So today, whatever situation we are in, let us right now come to this River. Ask Jesus, right now to baptise and immerse you in the River of the Water of Life. This River flows from His Throne and will bring healing, life and blessing to all that concerns us.
Prayer
LORD Jesus, I come to You, right now LORD to ask for Your mercy and grace.
LORD Jesus, I ask that You give me Living Water because I am thirsty. I am dried out LORD and I desperately need Your Living Water.
I ask that You immerse me completely in the River of the Water of Life, so that it becomes my perpetual dwelling place. Let me become as the tree planted by the riverbank and is nourished by the River.
Let me never be uprooted or transplanted from the riverbank of the River of the Water of Life, so that always LORD, always, I may bear my fruit in abundance each month, in season, and my leaves will never wither and in all that I do, let me prosper. And dear Jesus, let my leaves be for the healing of the nations.
Thank You GOD for the Power and Presence of Your Holy Spirit in my life. I am grateful!
