But the vessel he was making came out wrong, as may happen with clay when a potter is at work. So he began again and shaped it into another vessel, as he thought fit. 5 Then the word of Yahweh came to me as follows, 6 ‘House of Israel, can I not do to you what this potter does? Yahweh demands. Yes, like clay in the potter’s hand, so you are in mine, House of Israel.
Jeremiah 18:4-6
When I think about the amazing truth that I am God’s work, I’m completely awed.
The thought that GOD Most High (Elyon) thinks daily on me and watches me carefully to shape and mold me into His beautiful handiwork – is most humbling.
It’s such an example of God’s immensity and yet His simplicity.
His greatness and yet His compassionate care!
Oh, think of it! In whose hands would you rather be than in the hands of a loving Father Who created the entire heavens and earth and all within them with so much beauty and splendour.
When we go outside and marvel at the beauty and serenity of nature, the birds, flowers, trees, lakes and rivers and everything He has made; the sky in its place, the sun and moon and stars each running their course in sync! Wow!
This same God that created them all, also created me too.
Only He did much more than create me, He redeemed me in His love.
He said to me, “My child, you are more precious than all of this and I would literally move Heaven and earth and bring down Heaven to earth to save you.”
And He did!
Jesus Christ, the WORD of God became flesh, lived among us and died on the cross to save us. He didn’t stop there, He rose from the dead, He destroyed completely all that terrified or terrorised us and He is now seated at the Right Hand of the Father.
In this place of His Dominion in Heaven, we are seated with Him.
Yes, you, me, every baptised and committed child of God, all who are willing to confess Him as their LORD and worship Him in spirit and truth are seated with Him in Heaven – and we reign with His glory… here and now!
Oh, the triumphant, wondrous work and wisdom of God!
In whose hands then, would you rather be?
For me, I’ve made up my mind to fall completely in the merciful Hands of my Potter and Father, GOD for He has created me for Himself. And to all His merciful and magnificent designs for my life, I say, “Yes!”
Prayer
Oh the wonderful love of Jesus!!!
Oh the merciful work of my Father!
Oh the redeeming love of my GOD in my life is more than I could have ever dreamed.
To You o my God, I lift up my heart in utmost thanksgiving and praise.
My Eucharistia, I bring unto Thee.
The Lamb of God Who was slain for me, from the foundations of the world and Who daily calls me unto Yourself.
My Jesus, I love You. I praise You and I exalt You.
Thank You for all You do daily in my life – inspiring me, teaching me, shaping me, helping me.
I am grateful.
I completely surrender myself, LORD JESUS, to the Father’s Hands. Please present me in You to Him, that He may receive me and do with me as He wills.
