Yes, Lord,’ she said, ‘I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, the one who was to come into this world.’
John 11:27
Jesus Christ is the LORD!
He is the Messiah, the sole Saviour of mankind.
Jesus alone has redeemed the entire human race by dying for us on the Cross of Calvary.
By dying He destroyed our death, by rising He restored our life.
This was the confession of faith that Martha was called to in today’s Gospel.
Confronted with the grace and mercy and love of Christ, she chose to choose life in Jesus over the power of death.
In our times of distress we can always turn to the LORD like Martha did.
Let us call upon His help and saving mercy, using Martha’s words, “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God!”
And trusting in His abundant love, let us allow ourselves to be loved by Him.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, I am desperate for Your love and grace. I ask for You to still me under Your loving Wings and help me to hear and receive from You.
I renounce all the fears of my heart and mind and use Your shield of faith to quench all the darts of the devil.
I receive Your peace right now, and the tender loving touch of my God and Father and Saviour Jesus Christ!
I hear His voice, He is my Shepherd, I am His sheep and I follow Him.
He will lead me besides still waters and in paths of righteousness for His Name sake.
Amen!
Always & Forever,
To the Lamb,
With all my ❤
