I love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. 

I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. 

Psalm 18:1-3

There is power in Jesus’ Name.

And in the Presence of God, we are shielded and defended from our foes.

In our world today, we need to have this Truth as our anchor.

The terror of the enemy can only be overcome by the victory we have in the Blood of Jesus.

Because He shed His Blood completely for us by dying on the Cross of Calvary, God has raised Him high and given Him the Name above every other name.

The Name of Jesus is our rock, our shield, our sure protection, our defence, our anchor, our victory, our armour.

His Name is our weapon of warfare against all the wiles of the evil one.

So today we can simply shout out His Name, “Jesus!”

Into our lives we shout out, “Jesus!”

Into our world let us cry out, “Jesus!”

Into our families, our churches and communities, let us boldly shout out, “Jesus!”

And as we do so, let the testimony of David be fulfilled in our lives, “I call upon the LORD who is worthy to be praised and I am saved.”

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we respect and rejoice at the authority that You have given to Your Son, Jesus.

Because He humbled Himself even to death on a cross, You have highly exalted Him, and given Him the Name above every other name.

At the Name of Jesus, every knee must bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD to Your glory o Father.

And so Holy God, I submit myself completely to Your Son’s Holy and Great Name.

I surrender everything completely to the authority of His Name. Jesus! He is my rock!

Yes, all that is within me, all that consists of me, all that surrounds me and all that encounters me from now and forever, I submit entirely to Your Most Holy Will Most High God and to the Most Holy Name of Jesus.
