St Paul’s Conversion

It happened that while he was travelling to Damascus and approaching the city, suddenly a light from heaven shone all round him.

He fell to the ground, and then he heard a voice saying, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’

‘Who are you, Lord?’ he asked, and the answer came, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

Get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you are to do.’

Acts 9:3-6

The conversion of Saul into Paul, who went on to become one of the most effective apostles of the LORD Jesus, is marvelling.

This was a man who was the most terrifying enemy of the Christian faith.

All of a sudden, Jesus Christ encountered him and his life changed.

Saul was the person who officially recognised the stoning of St Stephen when he was put to death in Acts 7:54-60.

Before his death, St Stephen prayed that the LORD should not hold the sins of his accusers against them.

God for sure heard St Stephen’s prayer by bringing about the most remarkable conversion of his chief accuser.

Not only did God reveal Himself to Saul, but God immediately commissioned him to start proclaiming His Gospel to the entire world.

It is primarily because of St Paul’s ministry and multiple mission journeys, that many nations and people outside of the Jewish nation came to know Jesus as the Messiah!

How awesome is God’s Wisdom!

No one can comprehend His Love and mercy!

He turned around a situation that the evil one intended for wickedness against His people for the greater good of His people.

Today, let us confess that we too are the people of God, who are protected, covered and insured by His magnificent, omnipotent, omniscient love and mercy!

Let us bring ourselves under the merciful protection of our Saviour, trusting that He would never leave us nor forsake us.

Prayer

Holy LORD, Jesus, I come under Your protection today and bring all my family, friends and all Your people into Your care.

Hide us under Your wings LORD, have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and show us Your saving love.

Shelter us from harm and every evil, and keep us safe in Your care.

Let Your Precious Blood cleanse, protect and bless us as You immerse us deep within Your heart.

Thank You o GOD for loving us and keeping us safely united with You.

May Your HOLY SPIRIT work afresh a new thing in our lives. Have your way, o LORD.

Thank YOU LORD!

Amen!

Always & Forever,

To the Lamb,

With all my ❤
