For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and return not thither but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:10-11

Holy rain from Heaven, from the Father’s voice

Fall down and soak my soul.

Cause me to sprout forth, to thrive and flourish.

Fill my soul with every good blessing.

Turn back the curse of sin and bring forth the blessings of God.

Holy rain from God’s Holy Word

Break down the hardness of this soil

Purify it of debris and all that clusters

Anoint it with the life of God again.

Let life spring forth from God’s Holy Word

An indestructible life that can never be destroyed

A life that springs forth into a new dawn

Of eternal life with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

O living rain of God, fall afresh on us

Purify our hearts

Breathe new life we pray

Restore our souls in love

Revive our hearts in trust

Living rain, renew us again.
