So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority but speak thus as the Father taught me.
And he who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what is pleasing to him.”
As he spoke thus, many believed in him.
John 8:28-30
The word of God restores faith and joy to our hearts.
This is so true in today’s Gospel as many people believed in Jesus as they heard Him speak about His relationship with the Father.
Jesus says, “He Who sent Me is with Me, He has not left me alone”.
This is statement such a consolation if we take on the mind of Christ to ponder it.
For the LORD Jesus, the Father’s ever abiding Presence, was a profound Truth which left Him unmoved, throughout His life.
Even at the hour of His death, when He cried out, “My God, my God why has Thou forsaken me?” The LORD was making a prophetic declaration of Psalm 22.
In our own lives, Jesus has given a similar promise, He says, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you”; and “I am with you always until the end of time“.
Let us depend entirely on this Truth of His ever abiding, loving Presence with us and in us, by the grace of His Holy Spirit.
In this our time of need, let us cry out to God Most High to answer us speedily, according to His promises.
And depending on His truth, let us allow the Word of God to fill our hearts with joy!
Prayer
Dear LORD Jesus, I thank You for Your precious promises to us.
Today LORD, I bring before You all my fears, worries, anxieties and concerns and I totally surrender them at the foot of Your Cross.
You said, when I AM lifted up then you will know I AM HE.
Jesus, You’ve been lifted up on the Cross of Calvary and I extol Your righteous love forever.
Take us and use us for Your glory!
Come to us in this our time of need.
We, Your children need You. Your world needs You.
Shower Your loving Fatherly love upon us.
Shine JESUS shine!
Thank You for Your mercies, please fill us with Your Holy Spirit to raise us up into Your Holy Presence.
Let our bodies be living temples of Your Holy Spirit.
Thank You LORD.
Amen.
Always & Forever,
To the Lamb,
With all my ❤
