God’s Everlasting Love

Yahweh has appeared to me from afar; I have loved you with an everlasting love and so I still maintain my faithful love for you.

Jeremiah 31:3

How do you feel, as you read thesewords.of scripture?

God says these words to you today, “My child, I have loved you with an everlasting love and so, I still maintain my steadfast love for you!”

Oh praise God! For me today, this scripture has opened my eyes and heart.

Now, I understand what God means when He says that He has loved me with an everlasting love.

It means that no matter what I do, He still maintains His faithful love for me.

It means that God’s love is faithful! No matter what!

Ah, Father God thank You for Your Holy Spirit today, that has set me free!

If you are like me, you struggle with scruples, a sense of unworthiness and even departing from God’s love when you sin.

Yes indeed, sin takes us away from the sense of His Presence, but He never departs from us.

Even more so after we have repented of our sins, He immediately draws near to receive and embrace us again.

In fact scruples as I’m referring to them are an enduring sense of guilt and feeling of unworthiness even after repenting from sin.

Surely, this isn’t what God wants from us.

God wants us to know that no matter what He loves us! No matter what!

This is what St Paul says in Romans 8:39, “indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Oh what an awesome truth that has come to rescue me!

This doesn’t mean that we should keep sinning – NO!

It means that we should strive to be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect!

How else can we repay such faithful love of God towards us, but be as good as He is.

As scripture says, “As He is, so are we in this world,” 1 John 4:17.

To shine and show anything less than the incredible glory of our Father, is to shortchanged ourselves and live a life that is at best compromised and at worst….condemned to the fallen powers of this world.

But when we think and recall that our Father God is Alpha and Omega, The God Who has the whole world in His Hands and governs all the affairs of men, then we will rejoice and delight in becoming as He is!

So today, let us relish the love of our God towards us, let us embrace Him and hold on for our dear lives, for apart from HIM we have no life.

He alone is the LORD and Giver of Life!

Prayer

Holy Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on me.

Transform me and make me just like Jesus, my LORD AND MY GOD!

Thank You for You love, o Father, thank You for Your love, o Jesus…Holy Spirit, thank You for Your love.

In Your love alone, my heart has found rest.

In You love alone, my heart is restored and proved.

Thank You GOD for rescuing me.

Let my heart always dwell and rest in Your love. Amen!

(All to Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.)

Always & Forever,

To the Lamb,

With all my ❤
