God’s Dominion

Behold, to the LORD your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it – Deuteronomy 10: 14

As I reflect today on this chapter in Deuteronomy, which is about Israel being reminded about the greatness of God and how God inspite of His dominion over all creation, He chose Israel and the children of Israel to be His own people, it’s imparted upon my heart that the LORD is speaking to me too.

I too have been favoured with God’s love since God set His heart on my fathers before me. My grandfathers were devout practising Catholics who raised their families up with devotion to the faith of our Lord, Jesus Christ. This could only have been a work of Grace, for they were evangelised by missionaries who gave came into those remote villages to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

They were saved by Grace from idolatry, occultism and all evil, they were baptised, and in turn devotedly handed on the Gospel to their children.

My parents inspired by the teachings of their parents also were raised in a solid Christian faith. Through Catholic education given freely to them in schools, their faith was shaped and strengthened and they were emboldened to stay faithful and pass on the Light of Christ to us their children.

The communities all around my villages, near and far were also evangelised and multitudes upon multitudes converted early to our Lord Jesus Christ!

How great is the Father’s love towards us! How tremendous His love to our fathers before us!

Meditation

And so today as I meditate, I realise not only has Israel of old been blessed with God’s unconditional love from all generations, but as part of the new Israel in Christ Jesus our Lord, I too (we too) have been blessed with the generational, unconditional, calling and blessing of God our Heavenly Father! ALLELUIA!

May GOD Almighty give us the grace to forever remain steadfast and faithful in love to His calling, obeying Him and serving Him – loving Him in return with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind and all our strength! Amen.

Prayer

Father truly, Your love is eternal!

How precious is Your love towards us o God!

Before today I have hardly realised Your work of Grace in the life of my fathers before me. But Father God, despite sin, despite unworthiness,  You called them, and You called me.

Forgive me Father for the times I have been unfaithful, nonchalant, ungrateful for Your marvellous love.

And now Holy Father through Jesus Christ Your Son, I want to thank You for the grace of accepting the faith that You gave to my grandfathers, grandmothers, father and mother. Thank You o God for their devotion that has paved the way for my faith and the faith of my children.

Forgive Father the rebellion of those who turned away from grace after accepting Jesus Christ and free them from the slavery of the evil one through the precious Cross and Blood of Your Son Jesus Christ.

Your Word says, “if today you would listen to His voice, harden not your hearts”.

Today, Holy Father, I listen to Your voice as I thank You and ask for Your mercies upon the lives of my parents, grandparents – and ask You to bring about a newer beginning in my life, my husband’s life and the lives of our children.

Remember Your Church too throughout the world and bring us a great renewal of obedience and love for You our God.

Thank You Precious Father for hearing and answering our prayers!

To You alone be all our praise and worship, forever and ever! Amen!

Always & Forever,

To The Lamb

With all my ❤
