Go and tell my brethren

So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Hail!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.

Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”

Matthew 28:8-10

One thing I really love about the Easter season in the Church’s calendar is that we get to celebrate Easter for 40 days!

Yes, from the Day of His Resurrection until His Ascension back to the Father, the entire Church relentlessly sings, “Alleluia!”

How can it be any other way?

The most profound work of God has been accomplished for the salvation of the fallen human race.

The greater glory of God has been made manifest for our victory, to give us the grace of victorious living in this life.

St Paul says in Romans 5:17, comparing the sin of Adam and the grace of Jesus Christ,

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

The glorious reign of our Messiah is now established forever and shall never be moved.

He calls us to share in this eternal victory that He has won for us through His suffering, death and Resurrection.

On our part, we only have to trust His love and say, “yes” to Him.

Think of it, if God can love us so much to do all this for us, what would He not do to shelter us and keep us safe?

Who else can we possibly trust with our lives, except Christ Himself?

Today, the floodgates of Heaven have been opened unto us, and God invites us in.

Let us take courage in our hearts and accept the invitation of Christ.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, today I accept completely Your open invitation to me, to become part of Your family.

I accept the price of my redemption, accomplished through the Blood of Your SON Jesus Christ.

I thank You profusely for the fulfillment of my inheritance in Your Kingdom which I have received through Jesus Christ, my brother.

With all my heart, I accept right now the indestructible life that He has given me by His Resurrection from the dead.

Your Holy Spirit I triumphantly receive.

And yet Holy Father, I fully acknowledge that You didn’t have to do any of this.

Yet, it pleased You to create me and set me apart as one of Your own.

So Holy Father, today, I consecrate my life to You.

Accept me, use me, fill me and do with me according to Your perfect plans and purpose for creating me.

I’m Yours forever Holy Father, by the victory of Your Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ my LORD.

So Blessed GOD, have YOUR WAY IN ME.

Amen.
