So you are no longer aliens or foreign visitors; you are fellow-citizens with the holy people of God and part of God’s household.
You are built upon the foundations of the apostles and prophets, and Christ Jesus himself is the cornerstone.
Every structure knit together in him grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
and you too, in him, are being built up into a dwelling-place of God in the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:19-22
Today’s reading is immensely encouraging.
This is one of the greatest truths and consolations of being a Christian; that even now, right here, in this life, we are part of God’s Heavenly Kingdom.
Yes, we truly are the Body of Christ and this means that we are united with all believers throughout the ages, who have accepted Jesus Christ as their LORD AND SAVIOUR! Faithfully striving to walk through the narrow gate.
Alleluia!!!
And indeed, there is so much praise to be given for this.
Because it means that as Christians, we are never alone.
Even when we come to pray and praise and enter into the Presence of our God.
At such times, we are accompanied by the saints, apostles, elders and angels who stand before the Throne of God worshipping Him day and night.
They unite our prayers with theirs and they intercede on our behalf to God!

Are you looking for intercessors?
For sure, ask your brothers and sisters here on earth for prayers but also make sure to ask the intercession of the saints who have gone before us as they stand even more closely to God’s Face.
They behold His Face, face-to-Face as the angels in Heaven do! Alleluia!
Oh what a wondrous glory is our salvation.
And to crown it all, the Spirit of God teaches us through St Paul that, “we are being built up into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”
Alleluia!
Truly our God is glorious and has done great things for us!
Prayer
Dear LORD Jesus, You have done great things for us!
Today, united with all the company of Heaven, recognising the great privilege You have accorded us to be fellow citizens with Your Holy Ones who have fought the good fight of faith, we come to say “Thank You!”.
Thank You God for choosing us in love to be part of Your family in Christ Jesus.
Thank You Father, Abba, for saving us from destruction and turning our hearts again to do Your will.
Thank You for You, Yourself, are building us into a dwelling place of Yours in the Spirit.
On this assurance, we can rest secure. For You Who started a good work in us will bring it to completion on the day of Christ JESUS.
Thank You for the gift of our salvation, may we always bear fruit as we remain grafted in Jesus Christ the True Vine.
Amen!
