Corpus Christi

For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in that person. 57 As the living Father sent me and I draw life from the Father, so whoever eats me will also draw life from me.

John 6:55-57

Today is the wonderful Feast of Corpus Christi – The Body (and Blood of Christ).

On this day, we remember and re-engage anew with the mysterious life giving Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

He offered Himself for us that we might have life and have it abundantly.

Today, we recall His words as He simply calls us to eat of His flesh and drink of His Blood.

There is no greater Covenant that man can engage in than the Covenant of Divine exchange: receiving God’s life and offering our lives to Him.

This is the ultimate love exchange with God that draws us into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ Who is our Bridegroom.

So today, let us once again renew our faith in the Eucharist and ask God to strengthen us where we have strayed.

Prayer

LORD Jesus, thank You for instituting this wonderful mystery of Your Body and Blood.

I’m in awe of the saving work that you’re working and offering to me through Your sacrificial death and Resurrection.

I acknowledge that You alone o LORD are God Most Holy, Living and True.

I confess my faith in Your living and abiding Presence in the Body and Blood of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and Most Blessed Sacrament of the altar – until the end of time.

Come into my soul and make me all Your own.

May You be forever blessed and exalted in my life both now and forever.

Amen.

Always & Forever,

To the Lamb,

With all my ❤
