Christ be our Light

And as He was praying, the appearance of His countenance was altered, and His rainment became dazzling white. – Luke 9: 29

Feast of The Transfiguration

In today’s gospel reading, we reflect on the Transfiguration of our Lord.

He went up the mount Tabor to pray with His disciples and His appearance changed, Moses and Elijah appeared to Him and as the spoke  together, the heavens were opened and the Father’s voice was heard saying

” This is my beloved son in Whom I am well pleased.”

God is truly one with us. He has taken up our flesh in the Person of Jesus Christ and He has enveloped us with His radiant Heavenly glory.

Today, the song “Christ be our Light” has been on my heart. We need the light of Christ to burn through the darkness of sin and evil in this world.

Prayer

Christ be our Light, shine in our hearts, shine through the darkness.

Christ be our Light, shine in Your Church gathered today.

To Him Who sits on the throne and to The Lamb, be dominion, glory and kingship.

Amen!

Always & Forever

To The Lamb.

With all my ❤
