Thus says the LORD…
I will sprinkle clean water upon youto cleanse you from all your impurities,
and from all your idols I will cleanse you.
I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you,
taking from your bodies your stony hearts
and giving you natural hearts.
I will put my spirit within you and make you live by my statutes,
careful to observe my decrees.
You shall live in the land I gave your ancestors;
you shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Ezekiel 36: 25-28
Today’s scripture reading is so encouraging.
It shows the depth of God’s faithfulness.
To understand that God will for His Name sake, restore us unto righteousness with Himself is a most consoling thought.
For me personally, it gives me great courage and hope because I know that I can never attain Heaven by my own merits.
How can I, who am such a miserable, inconstant sinner?
However, that’s the beauty of today’s promise, my hope is in GOD Alone!
I trust completely in the Power of His Word and His grace which is abundantly sufficient to transform my heart and my ways to be totally conformed to Christ!
This is the beauty of the Gospel message.
First that God called us, then He died for us and freed us from the bondage and enslavement of sin and the devil. And then He empowers us liberally with the Power of His Holy Spirit to walk in freedom as sons and daughters of God.
This same Holy Spirit Who is God Divine is with us, freely given to us by our loving and Heavenly Father, through Jesus His Son.
The Spirit of Jesus has been poured forth into our hearts to recreate us into the perfect image of Jesus Christ the Son of the Most High God.
So, we have a new spirit.
But not just any spirit. NO!
We have the Spirit of the Living God, the Divine Person of the Holy Spirit living, moving, working and resting and dwelling within us.
Oh! How glorious is God’s blessings upon us!
Prayer
Oh thank You God, for the grace and Presence of Your Holy Spirit.
He has helped us overcome the weakness of our flesh by the Power of Divine Grace which You have lavishly poured out upon us, for Your own Name sake.
Yes, Father – for as Your Word says, “Where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more.”
And so, we are renewed with a new Spirit. The Spirit of our LORD and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Father, we renew our commitment this day to Your Divine Spirit Who lives in us.
We thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to us and thank Your Holy Spirit for choosing to dwell within me.
Yes, LORD, in my being, Your Holy Spirit lives and moves and has His way.
And I say, “Yes” to all His actions.
He is the Godhead – the Third Person of the Trinity and I worship Him as God forever and totally consecrate my life to Him.
Thank You Holy Spirit for coming to live in me and making me all that the Father and Son desire of me.
My life is Yours now and forever.
AMEN!
Always & Forever,
To the Lamb,
With all my heart!
