The Passover draws nigh

He said, “Go into the city to a certain one, and say to him, `The Teacher says, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at your house with my disciples.'”

Matthew 26:18

Yes, we are one day away from the Easter Triduum, the most holy of times in the Church.

Think about it, what other event can possibly compare to the drama and events that unfolded from the night of the Last Supper to the day of the Resurrection.

Indeed, God transformed the darkness of the night of His betrayal into a glorious day of His victory.

The mercy of God transformed death into life for our sake.

In today’s Gospel reading, the disciples made ready the Feast of Passover.

However, this time around, though they didn’t realise it yet, they were actually celebrating the Passover with the Lamb of God in their midst.

Only through the gradual events of Good Friday did they begin to realise this truth.

For us, in so many ways, our eyes too need to be uncovered.

We, I, need to know Jesus all over again!

I need to encounter Him and His Spirit in a deeper, bolder, humbler, childlike way.

As we move into the Easter Triduum, let us simply come to God as we are.

He knows our weaknesses and yet He still chose us.

He knew St Peter wasn’t able to stand up to His accusers, despite his best intentions and yet He still called and appointed him as head of His Church.

Jesus isn’t looking for super heroes, He is simply looking for little children.

Prayer

LORD, I am the littlest of all, and I’m tired of pretending to be anything.

I am nothing without you.

I am simply a babe, before You.

And in this way LORD, I come.

I come LORD just as I am.

I am tired of trying to be strong or relying on my mental strength.

God I have nothing on my own, but falling completely into Your holy Hands, I receive everything that You bless me with.

Love me Jesus all over again and fill me completely with Your grace.

Thank You LORD for hearing me.

Mary Immaculate Mother, Refuge of sinners, pray for me.

Amen.

Always & Forever,

To the Lamb,

With all my ❤
