The Commandments of God

Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:19

In Matthew 5:17, Jesus said, “Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them.”

He then goes on to explain how His mission on earth was the fulfillment of the law and the prophets.

This reminds me of the journey of Jesus and two of His disciples on the way to Emmaus.

When His disciples were confused about the events of His death and Resurrection, Jesus,

“beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, (he) explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.”

The Wisdom of our God is incredible!

He does nothing and leaves nothing to chance.

If only we stay close to Him, in love, as St Paul says, “He will work all things together for our good.” – Romans 8:28

The instruction of Jesus is very clear therefore, that all of God’s Word and Covenant promises is valid and fulfilled in Him Who is the Saviour of the world.

So as we continue in this season of Lent, at a time that the entire world is going through a deep reflective season, let us ask the LORD for mercy.

Let us seek God for the grace of true conversion in our hearts and across the entire world.

Let us cry out that the Redemptive Sacrifice of Jesus Christ, pays the price of sin in our lives, in the Church, and in our land.

As we pray for healing and deliverance, let us trust that the power in the Name of Jesus and the Blood of Jesus, will speedily bring redemption, restoration and peace on the earth.

Prayer

Holy Father, in this season of Lent and in this particular season when the world is going through a most trialing period, we need You.

The fulfillment of the law of Moses and the Prophets in Your Son Jesus Christ is clear testimony to us that Your Word never fails.

And so Righteous Father, as Your Son has promised us that we should, “ask and receive, seek and find, knock and it shall be opened unto us”, we come asking, seeking and knocking in Your Presence this day.

Father, we need Your mercy!

Holy GOD, we need YOUR healing!

Righteous Father, heal our world of every evil affliction of sin and diseases.

Let the Blood of Jesus, cleanse and wash us anew.

That we, in our minds, bodies, souls and spirits, may be made whole!

Do it for Your Name sake, Holy Father.

And do it Father, because Christ our Paschal LAMB has been slain and has offered Himself as atonement for us.

Thank You Father for answering us.

In Jesus Name we pray.

Amen!

Always & Forever,

To the Lamb,

With all my ❤
